Baby Feet!

Hamilton is 20 weeks old today and he has found his feet.

He is also a full time playing fool.
This weekend he played so hard, this is what happened...Play hard or go home!

One busy week

A lot has been going on this week so I am having to combine posts here..

1st: I celebrated my last birthday. From now on, my birthdays will be "the anniversary of my 39th". Trevor teased that my new washer and dryer were my birthday present, but no way... no appliances as presents here! We had a GREAT dinner and cake and I got both Twilight and New Moon. Luv me some vampires!

2nd: We also had opening day for Hollister's Tball and his first game.

And here is Hollister's 1st at bat. Get ready for some laughter and a little nausea... sorry I got a little crazy while filming.... You'll understand why.

3rd: We also had our second soccer game first thing this morning. Remember, the first game didn't go so well. Click here for a recap. So after a few weeks of really working and talking it up, and yes bribing him.... today was the big test. Because of tball, we could only play half the game, so he started off. He really did well. He ran all over the place. He didn't try to get the ball though. So, that will be the next lesson. But, no tears and that was my goal for the day!

And here is a video of Hollister running at soccer. He is really interested in all the cameras on the sidelines, not the ball so much. It's all so cute though.



and of course, gotta sneak little man in here too. This week he tried oatmeal cereal and LOVES it way more than just rice cereal. Hollister calls it "baby Lucky Charms". He is also actually playing with toys now. He has a ball he loves and a teething toy. In his small swing he loves to swat the animals that hang. He smiles constantly and giggles too. I will try and get that on video soon.

and this is him at the tball game today. A baby in a trunk? Why you ask? Cause I had to change his diaper! Mother of the year? I think not. But what a great photo opportunity.

Who is that masked man?

The other day it was really pretty outside. Trevor decided to mow the lawn. Hollister wanted to go outside with him, so I said, "Okay, just get your shoes on." A while later I went outside to check on both of them and as I round the corner to the house, this is what I see.I immediately turned around, walked in the house and grabbed my camera. This was too good to pass up.

I said, "who is that masked man?". He proceeds to take off his mask.... and say, "It's just me Mom, Hollister"

OH LUCKY DAY!

So, we aren't Irish, but give me a reason to buy matching shirts and I AM THERE!

Today was also the first day we tried rice cereal. Of course, he LOVED it, ate it all. Then afterward washed it down with some good ole fashion milk. Happy to report he is still solely on breast milk. I am not having to supplement yet, which I am very excited about. I am about a week ahead of him, which is a HUGE accomplishment! Not that he's hurting for nourishment of course, but starting food is kind of cool!Hollister was VERY interested in what was going on, and even said "I want to be a baby and eat." But once I offered it, he was out! Silly boy! It's actually all about the attention and the camera. If its on Hamilton, Hollister is right there to "bud in".

The Good, the Bad, the Funny and the just plain Adorable!

The Good:

Hollister had a rockin' tball practice Friday night. We were so impressed with his motivation. He listened, he hustled for the ball, he hit well, he didn't have to be next to his Daddy the whole time. He was rewarded with a trip to Mc Donalds.

The Bad:

Today though, at his first soccer game, well, things were different.
When he first arrived he was all excited. Practiced, kicked and appeared to have made a change for the better. Once the game started though, tears, crying, whining for Dad, just all that embarrassing stuff. See how he is no where near the "action". All the kids can agree on snack time though.

Mom and Dad are using their perspective though and realize he is shy, this is his first attempt at organized sports and out of the 6 kids, 2 refused to play today, 1 got sick when the game started and and the other 3 were all over the place. We were not alone in this.

The Funny:

Bath time won't be as much fun when he finally gets a hair cut!

We caught a BIG one!

One of the vague memories I have as a little girl is my Dad giving me a bath and making "shampoo hairstyles". As a mom that gives the bathes in our house, I just wash them and get them out! But dad, he always has time to make shampoo hairstyles! How cute is he?
