Hogeye Time Again....

Yesterday we went to the local festival here in town. It's the annual Hogeye Festival.... celebrating the pig! For those who don't know, Elgin is the sausage capital of Texas.

This is our second Hogeye Festival since we moved here. Click here to see last years experience.

The festival is downtown. It includes tons of food, games, carnival, craft show, car show etc.... Just a nice day to spend with the family.

We enjoyed a few hours of eating and walking, and of course, celebrating the PIG!He was so excited to find this pig. It was his mission from the time we got off the shuttle bus... find the pig!

Pregnancy is the ONLY excuse I could ever use to justify eating a turkey leg!!!

Fried potato chips. We also had fried Oreos, but they didn't last for picture taking.

Anything to make school fun!

Yesterday at school our PTA hosted a Monster mash dance for the students in the evening. To get the students excited, teachers are allowed to dress up during the school day. So, as teams we get creative.

Not Agassi or Sampras, but its a start!

CJ is playing tennis in Belton this year. It is a new adventure to say the least. He is definitely a beginner, but as I saw yesterday, they all are.

I finally was able to attend a tournament closer to us, (Georgetown) and the weather cooperated, sort of. It was H-O-T! But, it wasn't rained out, much to several of the kids dismay.... I thought it was just CJ, but many kids were hoping it'd be canceled.

He played in a doubles match. They lost, but I could completely saw that all the kids are learning the game. It was nice to see him and finally see him play some tennis. We aren't making reservations for Wimbledon yet, but you gotta start somewhere, right?
He's Ready!
He hit this one, IN!!!!
