Egg Hunt

Hamilton's day care had their annual Easter Egg Hunt yesterday.

Hollister and I headed over right after school.

He was so happy to see us.

They followed the line to the fence before beginning the rampage.
They made those cute baskets in class this week!

And then they were off!
Can you see all those eggs out there? There were tons!

It was pretty funny to watch. He ran around and was very specific about what went into his bucket. He would pass eggs that were right next to him. I don't know why. But, I noticed he wasn't the only one.

It was fun. Now, I am once again rationing out candy and having to explain why we don't eat candy at 8am and why he must eat his lunch before getting candy.

Hoppy Easter!

A different side of my boys

Hollister got these glasses from the AR store at school.
He earns money for reading and taking comprehension tests.

He has had so much fun being silly with these things.

And no shocker here. Hamilton is always silly!

This was from hat day. It was a super cold day in March.
Check out the ice on the car window.
This was his idea to wear his hat this way.

A Sad Soccer Season

The boys did play soccer this season. It was kind of pathetic though.

First, their games were scheduled at the same time. Which meant, I went to Hamilton's games and Trevor went to Hollister's. They were close in proximity, but not much picture taking.

Second, Hollister  had surgery after the third week and missed the remaining portion of the season.

Third, it was Hamilton's first experience with soccer. When we talk about it, he loves it. He can't wait to play. But, we miss practice once a week because Tball is on the same night and same time. On game days, well, he is concerned with who is bringing snack. He talks a good game when we are headed there though. He always tells me he is going to be big and do his best.
Actually, for his first time in soccer, he does okay. He won't go after the ball though. He likes to kick it for a corner kick or goal kick because no other kids are around. He does well at throw-ins too. And of course, he looks really cute in his uniform.

These were from picture day.

We did a buddy shot this year. Unfortunately this is the only picture I have of Hollister this soccer season.

Not all of Hamilton's soccer team made it to pictures.
These ladies volunteered to coach his team. They don't even have kids on the team!

This is everyone on the team before one of our Saturday games!

Goal kick!

Kick off!

And what he did when he wasn't on the field.

His soccer season is over. We will miss the last game because of a baseball tournament.

I guess I am glad we put him in, I just wish we could have been more committed.

What Our Life Looks Like Right Now

Ear Update: Hollister has seen the doctor twice since his surgery. He is recovery well. He gets drops three times a day and only wears a cotton ball in the ear canal and a band-aid. He is still on limited activity. We will see the doctor again on April 30th.

Baseball season is in full swing!

This was opening ceremonies:

Hamilton is directly in the middle.
Hollister being introduced.
After opening ceremonies, the two kid pitch teams played each other for exhibition. Hollister plays first base.
The next morning, we had pictures.

This is Hamilton's team.
And this is front row Hamilton. Not surprising that he is all out in front huh?

Then Hamilton had his first exhibition game against the other Elgin Tball team. He played catcher at first.
He batted pretty well.

He made it to third a couple of times and even scored a run, maybe even two.
