A Sea of Red... High School Graduation

One week, two graduations, emotionally draining, but also proudest moments as a parent.

Thursday night, CJ graduated from Belton High School

This is what 601 graduates in red look like!

The ceremony started late and was L-O-N-G, but worth it.

We were limited tickets due to the size of the graduating class. We had good seats though and were able to spend a lot of time with CJ before and even after the ceremony.

Mary brought me a present too, Kleenex! I did use one.

After all the speeches, the fun began... calling out 601 names! They had a system though and in all reality, it went fairly quickly.

There he is under the arrow. He was on the 3rd row, 3rd one in. Thankfully with his last name beginning with a "C", he was one of the first to graduate.

waiting
 waiting
 and yes, waiting some more

This was when the principal was presenting the class to the superintendent for their diplomas. She accepted and the important stuff began.
 Waiting in line...
 Getting closer

I  wanted to take the moment in and not worry about pictures, so I had Kendrick take photos of the big screen. This is with the superintendent. She shook every students' hand....

These are his academic medals. He calls one of them the "participation" medal. Said everyone got one. The other is for graduating cum lada. He was in the top 10% of his class.

Incredibly proud of this boy and excited for the moment!

His next adventure after the summer is TEXAS A&M!!!!

Thankfully we can go from red to MAROON!

Pre-K Graduation

It's official, Hamilton is going to Kindergarten in August!

He is registered and has officially graduated from Pre-K.

His school had a super cute graduation for the kids a few days ago,

We are so proud of our big boy!

Check out those small chairs! PRECIOUS!

Each student received a book and a reward for being able to count to 100 and another classroom award. Ms. Gretchen also mentioned that Hamilton can count to 100 by 10's and 5'. very impressive for Pre-K!
Hamilton received the shoe tying award. He is the only one who  mastered it in his class. This makes us super happy. His determination has paid off and he is the youngest child in our house to learn to tie their shoes BEFORE going to Kindergarten.

At the end, they were allowed to throw their hats up in the air. It was funny because when she told them they could, they all just stood there. They had practiced, but once the time came, they were nervous. They warmed up pretty quickly though!

Our Pre-K graduate

With his buddy, Tyler

With his buddy Ruston

"The Boys" as they are referred to

After the ceremony, they had cake and punch for everyone.

One of the Aunt's made these for each child. Super sweet and tasty too!

This has been Hamilton's teacher this year. She is A-MA-ZING!
Ms. Michelle

So excited for his next adventure!

Road trip

We recently took a road trip to New Mexico to celebrate Kelsey's graduation from high school. We were so happy to have a chance to celebrate this huge milestone for her and to visit with family!

Excited at the start....

Didn't take long until he was out!
We drove through the night and ended up in NM at 3am. We slept at hotel for a few hours and then started our trip...

Hotel Selfies!

The boys spent hours playing hallway basketball with their cousins!

This is why we were there. For this sweet girl!

Seriously, how cute is this set up!
This is Kelsey to a tee!!

The other obsession of the weekend... cornhole

And lots of photo booth fun!

We also had some glow stick fun!

The boys even had a chance to have some fun at the local Mc Donalds.

Fun for the kids, annoying for the adults!

More basketball with the family. And yes, that is Trevor in a boot, playing basketball!!!

 Some wagon fun with cousins.
These boys had a great weekend together!

We enjoyed staying with Pappa and Grandma. They even woke up with us super early the day we left! Grandma is behind Pappa. Don't worry, I wouldn't take my picture that day either!

On the way home we stopped to admire the scenery

The boys were asleep when we we crossed into New Mexico so no pictures of that, but of course, going back to Texas, they were!
So happy to be 8 hours from home! (they had no clue)

The trip was good. The boys did well for being such along trip. Trevor did well considering he was in a boot for so long during the driving. It was a quick trip, but those memories last a lifetime!
