Can't ever just take one!

Someone's not looking....

 Someone's eyes are closed...

Then, someone else's eyes are closed.

Or someone's face is blocked by another...

Hey, this is a good one!
                                                               Mom! take another....

                                                              Okay, last one boys....
Just having some fun with my boys at Roadhouse!

Monkey See, Monkey do....

Soon,  we will officially be a two sport family again. Soccer begins next week and Tball begins a few weeks after that. Practice for both has already begun though, so we kind of are now, right?

We have moved Hollister "up" in both sports. In soccer he will play with U8 (under 8). It's a bigger field and they play positions. In baseball, he will move from Tball to Coach Pitch. And yes, his Dad is the coach. Trevor is assisting in soccer, but not coaching.

Recently the boys have been having batting practice in our backyard. Well, if Hollister is doing it, so is Hamilton. So, before the posts begin for Hollister's sports, I thought I'd create one for Hamilton. He is actually quite good and very focused!

Here's some photos too. He is so focused. Wish I could just bottle this up!

Another Speciality Cake

Trevor was asked to make a very specific cake for a baby shower for some friends of ours. It was quite detailed and included new cake techniques that he had never tried before.

He worked so hard though and this was the finished masterpiece.
This is prior to the bow. It's just a great picture of it and I wanted to share.
He also taught himself to make fondant roses. They weren't part of this cake, but they turned out GREAT!!!

His talent never ceases to amaze me.

L-O-V-E of course!

My husband claims Valentine's is a made up holiday, but I don't buy it. Valentine's is all about LOVE!!!

This year, again, I wanted my man to feel loved!!!!

He got 14 days of "love grams". Thanks to my blog stalking and Pinterest I got some great ideas and printables!

Not in any particular order: 1. A "crush" drink; "I've got a crush on you" 2. Tamale candies; "You're a hot tamale" 3. Nerf gun; "Do I have a shot at being your valentine" (Hollister was very jealous of this gift.)
 4. Bubble gum; "I chews you Valentine" 5. Bouncy ball; "You make my heart bounce." 6. Pop Rock candy; "You make my heart pop" 7. Mentos candy; "We were mint to be together" 8. A melted crayon heart; "You color my world"  (Hollister was also jealous of this and I had to give him one on Valentine's day)
9. Beeswax lip balm; "Bee mine"  10. Ten things I love about you

 11. Candy bar; "I love you more than chocolate."  12. Fortune cookie box with home made felt fortune cookies; "I am so fortunate to have you" 13. Pistachio's; "I'm nuts about you." 14. Starburst candy; "You're a star and make me feel like one too."

It was fun to do and I think he enjoyed it.

Of course we did Valentine's for school parties too! I saw a cute idea for super hero valentine's on Pinterest and copied it. I also repeated the bouncy ball idea for Hamilton's class. Hollister wrote each of his friends names and his own name 20 times.

Hamilton colored on each of his gifts.

I made these yummy snacks for Hollister's teacher. They are raspberry kisses with raspberry m&m's. I made a cute jar that said, "For a berry special teacher", but didn't take a picture. I know, bad blogger!!

The boys both had parties at school and day care and of course Daddy made cupcakes for them. Valentine's morning, he packed my car with cupcakes and this too. It was a fabulous surprise! A very berry strawberry cake and oh my it was DELICIOUS!!!!

Hollister had soccer practice that evening and when we got home Hollister asked me "Would you like to go eat with me?" It was so cute! So, off we went for a nice Valentine's dinner.

Later that night, when I gave Trevor his last gift, he surprised me with a super special gift. He gave me a slide charm bracelet.  It has a heart charm with two pink spacers to keep adding charms. I am so excited about the possibilities. I was totally shocked because like, I said, Trevor thinks Valentine's Day is a made up holiday. Plus, the last time I received jewelry from my husband was my engagement ring and wedding ring! It was a GREAT end to a fabulous day.

L-O-V-E is awesome!

Celebrating 70

My mom turned 70 years young last Friday!!! We celebrated with her on Saturday. I think she was in hog heaven to have her girls and their families. Then, I think she was in hog heaven when we left and it was quiet again.
Trevor made the cake, of course!
                                                                 Fun and YUMMY!!!
Mom and her girls! (I think Mary is on her tip toes!)
                                                                 Mom and her honey!
                                                              Mom and my four boys!
                                                              Mom and Zora's four boys!
                                                             And Mom with all eight!!!
At 70 you direct your family in singing to you!
Present time

I found this card of animals jumping out of a cake. There were six of them.
Since we brought the cake and there are six of us, I thought it was perfect. Mot sure anyone else was as amused, but Hollister and I loved it!
Happy Birthday Mom!

February so far....

I know, I know, its been forever since I posted anything! February is almost half over and I haven't posted since sometime in January. I am years behind with my scrap booking, I can not get behind on blogging, it just can't happen.

The weekend before Trevor's birthday we got a virus in our house. It hit Hamilton first. He got sick in the car, TWICE!!! It was awful. Then he was sick at home all night and Trevor was gone the whole time! What a mess! This happened on a Saturday. Then on Monday night Hollister and Trevor got sick. It was awful. They stayed home Tuesday together. I felt sick the following day, but it didn't hit me as bad as them.  I left work half a day and slept it off. Thursday was Trevor's birthday and Kendrick got it!!!!

We went to dinner for Trevor's birthday and as you can tell, these guys were better. They didn't eat their dinner, but they did enjoy Daddy's complementary sundae!

At the restaurant, Hamilton actually went with the waitress and just walked around. He is NOT our shy one!

Trevor got a Kitchen Aid to help with all his baking duties. He didn't get his own cake though, since he would have had to bake it himself.

On Friday,we took all the kids to Golden Corral. It has become one of Hollister's favorite places. He loves the fact that you can eat anything and that they have a chocolate fountain. Trevor and I love their fried chicken. No, its not healthy, but it is yummy!
Hamilton, well, he loves their cotton candy!
PINK!!!!

                                                                    and then BLUE!!!
Hollister also celebrated the 100th day of school that day.  This makes me miss elementary school so much. As a teacher, this was one of my favorite days to teach.

Next Up: More birthday celebrating, but this time with cake!
