September Update

This is where we have been and what we have been doing for the month of September.

Hamilton has enjoyed tball, but not as much as we had hoped. He played amazing this summer with Hollister's team. Tball though, has been a different story. He is attracted to rolling around in the dirt and crying for one of us. It has gotten better throughout the month. It has been an experience for sure.

Hamilton also had his very first birthday party for one of his school friends. It was a castle theme party.

Tyler, the birthday boy

Hollister is also playing baseball and doing great. I noticed that I don't have pictures though. When we travel to play, both teams play at the same time. Which means, Trevor pitches to Hollister's team and I go with Hamilton for his game. Guess for October, I need to get some pictures of Hollister playing. He is playing first base and doing really well.

Trevor also finished his softball this month. He joined a co ed softball league in Austin. He played once a week. They went undefeated until the very last game. I know he really enjoyed it. The boys loved going to the games as well. Hamilton enjoyed telling his Daddy to run faster.

In other news CJ got his driver's license. It has been nice to have him as a driver. He drives himself from Belton now, which is weird, but again, nice.

He also finally ran into old friends at his school this week. Madison and Phoenix Phillips are "childhood" friends from when we lived in Harker Heights. These kids were friends since Maddi was 1 and CJ was a born! Their mom and I worked together and the kids did tons of things together along with another friend who has since moved to New York. They all three go to Belton High School now. Madison is a senior, and Phoenix is a freshman. They saw each other and CJ sent me this picture. I cannot not express how this warmed my heart. We have some amazing memories with these people. I loved that CJ thought it was so cool to finally see them as well.

And lastly, I have been up to stuff too. My three friends and I have been attending boot camp on Sundays together. We have also been joining in on some fun runs. A few weeks ago, three of us did an 8K, (5 miles). It had an 80's theme, we just ran it though. It was tough, lots of hills.

Yesterday though, we all ran in a 5k. It was the Color Run and that means, getting dirty. They throw colored powder before and during the run. The pictures really say it all. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of mess! Yes, it all came off fairly easily.
Before

Before we even ran. This is at the start line. The bandannas were extremely helpful, as were the goggles.

After. We were a mess!
Sorry for the whole month update in one post. Maybe I can post more often in October, no promises though.

Tball Scrimmage

Hamilton is playing Tball. He is the catcher and has his own gear. This was him at practice.
He doesn't like practice.

But, yesterday, he had a Tball scrimmage. When I woke him up, I said, "time for your game." He popped right up!
In the "ready" position

After each hit, he is "ready".
In the "on deck" circle!

His first at bat. He batted twice and hit twice. He did make it home after his first at bat. The second hit, he was tagged out at first. He was not happy about that. He will need to learn to run faster.

He had a good time, but did get hungry in the second inning. Guess we need to feed him more before a game. This kid is always hungry!

Season starts in 11 days, Stay tuned!
