My 3 sons

Early this morning, yes, on a Saturday, I took the boys for a photo shoot with a teacher friend of mine. Well, that's how I know her, from teaching. Now though, she is a stay at home mom and beginning a photography career. She photographed the boys for almost an hour. They did pretty well. It was hot even at 8:30.

Here's a few pics. Brandy, I hope this is okay for me to add these. If not, please let me know....

Also, visit her site: http://brandylewisphotography.wordpress.com There are more pics there and you can see some of her other sessions. You can really see the awesome colors on her site.

I can't wait to see all the pics she took!

The one of them walking away hand in hand.... my new screen saver!

These boys are precious. I'm the luckiest mom!

Funny story: There is an old barn near the park we were at, so of course, we took a ton of pics there. Hollister wanted to go in one so I told Kendrick, go ahead, take him in. Kendrick was hesitant. I mean, these things were old and scary looking, but great for pictures. Kendrick says, "What's in there?" I'm thinking nothing, these are O-L-D! Then he says, "Uh... they are moving!" I said, "Oh, okay, lets go away" At first I thought they were chickens. Odd, I know, but it was hard to tell. Well, actually, they were BUZZARDS!!!
So, again, I am not winning any Mother of the Year awards. I think sending my oldest and youngest into a barn with buzzards, disqualifies me!

His new obsession

This is my Norman Rockwell moment.....

As many of you know, my husband LOVES golf. He would do it everyday if he could. After Hollister's surgery, before he could go back to daycare, Trevor took him along for a round of golf which was already scheduled. Hollister LOVED it. He hit at every hole and was not ready to leave, even after 18 holes.

So, we bought him a $5 plastic golf set at Wal-Mart. he loved it. He is meticulous about having all the pieces together and playing it. He loves putting.

Well, Trevor has been searching for real golf clubs for him and yesterday when we got home, he surprised Hollister with some. He was crazy excited.
Trying on his new bag!

Of course, that meant going to golf Friday night at 5pm. We live close to a course, so we took him to the driving range.

He had the best time. then he had some putting practice and about an hour later, he was ready to go. It was hot, no shade on the putting green.

So, not only do we have football, basketball, and baseball as an obsession for Hollister. We now how golf, which by the way is the most expensive! He sure is cute though!

You'll notice, he is hitting left handed. This is his "natural" swing when we play at home for baseball or golf. The golf pro told Trevor to buy left handed clubs because its his instinct to hit (or swing) from that side. We don't really know which he is though, right or left.... but he can hit a golf ball and a baseball left handed.

Mommy, Mother, Ma, Momma, Mom!!!

This is my mom. She is awesome. It has taken me a long time, and I mean a LONG time, to appreciate her like I should. She's my mom, and I am thankful for her.
Happy Mother's Day Mom!

These are the boys I get to "mother".

I am lucky to mother this one. Trust me, you couldn't ask for a better teenager!

This is my first born! He will always be precious to me. He is also "like" his momma and I think the one my mom was talking about when she said, "One day, you will have a child just like you."

This is my baby. This is my brat. Yep, I'm his momma and I can say that. And yep, we created him! He is the clone of his Daddy and very much a "Daddy's Boy". But, trust me, when he says, "I love you Momma", it melts my heart.

All 3 of those boys is why I love being a mother and feel lucky to have the opportunity to do so.

Cinco de Mayo, of course!

When Trevor is out of town, we eat tacos. You have heard this before.

Well, it is Cinco de Mayo and that means tacos too. But Trevor is here, so yep, he ate them too!

He wouldn't let me take a picture of him eating his taco, but I did get him eating a bunelo.
(see below)

I tried to make it festive, we had Fiesta tableware (paper, of course) and we ALL had margarita glasses, but no one had margaritas. It was still way fun!

I wish you could see this better. We have salsa in a "pepper". All the toppings for tacos, chips, and dessert! But hey, my kids are cuter than food pics!

Hollister LOVED his "margarita" known to the rest of us, as Sprite!

We had tacos, chips and salsa and some bunelos. I may not be typing that right. They are chips with cinnamon, let me just say, WAAAAAY YUMMY!

Any reason to eat tacos, and any reason to blog!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE MEXICO!!!!
