Christmas 2013

It has been a pretty low key holiday for us here. Trevor has worked everyday except Christmas. The  boys and I have been enjoying the break.

We took a quick visit to grandma's. We had some car trouble while there, but thankfully, mom has a good car place she goes to and I had some hoses replaced and we were home by bedtime.

Christmas morning was pretty much the same around here. We sat around the tree and Trevor passed out the gifts.

The boys woke us up early. We made some coffee and they opened their presents.
This picture sums up Christmas present time.
See the wrapping paper everywhere?
See the already opened presents tossed aside?
See the smile on the face of a boy getting what he asked Santa for?

Of course, there were more...
Hollister loves when he sees people with his name on their shirts. The Hollister company doesn't sell children's sizes, but he is getting close to fitting into their smalls.

Hamilton loved his toys, but loves the camera, so showing off his clothes works for a photo op.

The Hollister store does have accessories, so Hollister got this hat, it is perfect.
We call him Big H, plus it has his name across the back as well.

I know, he looks disgusted at the present, but he really isn't. Both older boys got gifts to keep their cars cleaned. Come on, Santa has to be practical these days.

While they played their new games, a big breakfast was made. We love breakfast around here.

Hamilton got the new Skylanders Swap Force game and characters for the Xbox 360.

Hollister got the new Disney Infinity game and characters for the PS3.

They both have enjoyed playing both systems together.

We had games and naps all day. Later that night, we ate steak and lobster! Absolutely delicious! Trevor is in charge of that and he always does an amazing job!

At Grandma's house the boys got headphones. Hands down, for me, the best present of the season!

And of course, we had everyone home, that is always nice.

Santa Visit

We took the boys to see Santa Tuesday night. They were very excited.

Hamilton had a visit from Santa at his school the week before. He was very excited that "he wasn't sacred". It was the first thing he told me that day when I picked him up.

When we arrived at the mall, I asked if he was ready and if he was scared. He said no way. He walked right up and was ready to let Santa know what he wanted.

This year, I was impressed that the photo people took pictures of Santa listening to each boy.
They are pros at this!

Hamilton telling Santa he wants a Skylander Swap Force toy and Pop the Pig.

Hollister told Santa he wanted a toy for the new Infinity game and a Wolverine lego.

Happy Thanksgiving

So, I found these in my "draft" section of my blog. I am sure there's a reason I didn't post them, but since 2013 is ending, it is time. Be prepared for some blogging overloading.
Happy Reading!

It's Black Friday!

We are not shopping. Trevor is working and the boys and I are avoiding crowds.

Yesterday we started a new tradition for Thanksgiving.

We ran the Turkey Trot as a family. For the past 5 years, Trevor or I have run it, or we have run it together and the older boys watched the younger boys.

But, Hollister is old enough to run it, or so he thinks.

It was cold! We borrowed a jogging stroller for Hamilton and bundled up and headed out.

Thankfully its not super early. This run is HUGE in Austin. It's a 5 mile run, 25,000 people were there yesterday!

We even bought hats for the occasion!

When the run started it was fun, then we hit our first hill. Hollister was ready for water. He was a trooper though. Eventually we saw a water spot.

Hamilton was quite the drill sergeant for me. If I walked he wanted me to run, if I wasn't going fast enough for him, he let me know it. A lot of talk for someone in a stroller!

It was really fun though and a great new tradition for us with the boys.

Afterward, we went home and rested for a few hours before heading to my moms for Thanksgiving dinner. We of course were in charge of the cupcakes!
I found these cute guys on Pinterest and attempted them. They actually came out and looked pretty good.

Finally, a Pinterest project that didn't fail.
Trevor made the yummy cupcakes of course!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Baseball

The last time I wrote about baseball and tball, I noticed that I had no pictures of Hollister. I am the official score keeper, so it is hard to take pictures and mark strikes, ball and runs for every player for both teams.

For our last game, Trevor asked to take as many pictures as possible. So, with the help of another mom, I was a clicking fool!

ENJOY!
 Hollister plays first base.

Check out the center of the picture where the ball is.

Another safe player, but he is ready.

You are not safe this time!

                                                                              A HIT!

 SCORING!!!

 Some practice swings.

Another run!

Hamilton was not going to be left out of this picture thing. He made me take these pictures.

Baseball season is officially over. We had closing ceremonies this past weekend.
Which means we should have some pictures soon.

Football Theme

When Hamilton told us he wanted a football themed party, I instantly knew I could find some great ideas on the internet. And of course, it did not disappoint. Some I copied, some I took and made what I wanted.

Found this idea online. These were the treat bags.

Saw this idea online too. Trevor made the cute cups and I found free water bottle print outs.

We served hot dogs, quick and easy.
Not normally a condiment house, but for our guests, we deliver.

Hollister made this banner after school one day.

I had some left over brown paper and thought a football door would be cute. Trevor was able to put it together for me pretty quickly.
Trevor had a great idea to make a canvas that the guest could sign and Hamilton could keep it forever.
Didn't it turn out awesome?
This is after everyone signed it.

The theme was really fun and actually pretty easy to put together.
