Marching One Day At A Time

We've had a full week as always.

It started out with Hamilton and soccer.
He's such a go-getter.

He even played goalie for the first time.

And then, my boys made sure my birthday was special. They are amazingly sweet.
I am one very lucky mom!

We had an eventful day.
Hollister had a quick hearing aid appointment in San Antonio.

No road trip would be complete without a stop at Buccee's!

Next we headed to College Station to pick up CJ for an Aggie baseball game.
Of course, nothing goes smoothly.
Flat tire about 20 minutes out of College Station, in Caldwell.
Thankful for roadside assistance and tire warranties.
Two new tires later...

DINNER TIME!

Some fun Aggie brainwashing!

Then finally, some Aggie baseball!!!

Things I love... my boys and baseball!!!

Because the game was so late, we ended up having a
birthday breakfast the next day.

The week and weekend was full of good times.
Life is good!

Spring has Sprung!

We spent our weekend at the ball field. Nothing new of course.

Being the first weekend of Spring though, old man winter did make an appearance.
Cold and windy, but lots of sun.

Two pool games Saturday. Wildcats went 1-1.

Hollister did GREAT and has been credited with getting his team started with their hitting in the second game.
He had a great hit down the third base line that fired up his team!

I missed the hit with the camera, but this is him running afterward.
He nailed it!

Today's game were just as fun. The bats were alive in Elgin.

Game 1 was against the other Elgin team, the Warriors
. Wildcats won 10-1.
This would put us in the championship game!

Introducing both teams prior to first pitch!

Game 2 was against the Thrall War Birds. We had lost to this team the day before by 1 run.
Today, we would be a different team and win 10-3!

Needles to say Hollister is thrilled to be on the winning side of this tournament! '

 Before getting his trophy

And after

1st and 2nd Place Winners

CHAMPIONS!!!!

Way to go Wildcats!!!
Way to start a new season!

Re-Launch!

After the passing of my Dad yesterday, the boys and I started looking at old photos. It reminded me why I started my blog in the first place. It was my alternative to scrap booking. I have decided to start it up again. So much happens and I want to record it for me, the boys and whomever chooses to read  this little old blog.

Let me go ahead and catch everyone up on what we've been doing around here.

January 6th
HAPPY 10th Birthday to my sweet boy!!!!

It was us at home for his birthday this year.
CJ, Kendrick and Hamilton spoiled him!
He is all about NERF guns!
He also asked for a camera.
This has been fun!
And he loves to draw and color.
He is super creative.

Of course...
CAKE!

January  began a new sport for us.

Hamilton played Kinder ball. He was the biggest on his team.
He was quite proud of that I might add.
His team went undefeated.
They only play half court and play is stopped quite a bit, but overall, it was a good experience.

Hollister played 3rd-4th, which is Division II ball.
He was on an excellent team with excellent coaches.
The head coach was actually Hamilton's football coach in the fall.
He led that team to an undefeated season and a Super Bowl win.

This team would only be slightly different.
They, too were undefeated all season.
Hollister learned so much and truly improved.
He also made a basket in one of the games.
He became more aggressive as the season went on.
He really enjoyed the whole experience.

The day of the championship game.
The boys played hard, but it just wasn't in the cards that day.
They were heart broken by a 9-1 season.
It's hard to go all season undefeated and never even trail in a game
and then lose the "big one"

Of course, they are still winners in all of our eyes.

EBA Basketball Jan-Mar 2016

At the beginning of February, we celebrated the 100th day of school.
For you non-school people, this is a big celebration in school.

Hamilton's teacher asked the kids to dress up as if they were 100 years old.
Hamilton was really into it!
 A 100 cookie snack
They also let go of 100 balloons.

March has brought on the beginning of soccer for Hamilton and baseball for Hollister.

Hamilton is playing up in soccer.
He is playing U8. This is a much bigger field.
He loves it.
His team is very young though and it will be a long season.
So far, three games, three losses.

Hollister is on a new baseball team this season.
All friends he's had for a long time and kids he played with before.
First game this past week and he got two hits and scored two runs.
He played outfield, catcher and first base.
He absolutely LOVED it.
We are definitely ready for baseball season around here!

Okay, so that catches me up to current situations. I know, it's a lot for one post, but its a good start.
2016 is looking a lot different for us, and the outlook is GREAT!

I can't wait to share it with you.
