Anniversary Day

I've been reading a lot this summer about my friends and their anniversaries and how everyone is spending them. It has really been fun. I actually have a few spots I want to visit because of them.

So, for our anniversary I knew there was no "trip" in the picture since we had our big family vacay to SF. I was also okay with this, but of course wanted to spend the day with my hubby.

I was thrilled to get my hubby to take the day off. That is HUGE!!! How did I manage this? Well, he wanted our neighbors to go to a Round Rock Express game with us and the last home stand game was the same day as our anniversary. Since our neighbors are heading for vacation soon, if we didn't go on the 23rd we would have to wait until late August. So, I told him if he took the day off and we went to a nice lunch we could go still do the game that night. He was all for it. He rearranged his scheduled and we had a great day.

We slept in which was awesome. Headed to Fogo de Choa for lunch. It is a Brazilian restaurant that is an all you can eat meat house. It has an amazing salad bar, like none you can ever imagine. Its kind of weird to even call it a salad bar. It had smoked salmon, artichoke hearts, stuff like that.
The process is you are given a red/green card to flip over when you are ready for the meat. Green means go, red means stop. You get the point.
Well, there are 15 different kinds of meat or something crazy like that. The waiters are constantly coming out with meat, amazing meat, and if you have your green card faced up they stop and offer you what they are serving. It is so hard to say no and you'd better flip it back to red if you are ready to stop. It was absolutely delicious for two carnivores like us. We truly had to force ourselves to stop even though we didn't want to.

Afterward we shopped at Sams and Wal-Mart for our neighborhood BBQ this weekend. Isn't that romantic? Funny thing, it was nice because it was only us, no kiddos!

After a much needed nap, we went to the Dell Diamond with our neighbors and enjoyed a baseball game. This was also where our first date was, so it did have some "anniversary connection".
The whole gang.... Mike, Tony, Jack and Kristy, Hollister, Kendrick, and Trevor (minus CJ)

Happy Anniversary Honey

Today is my 4th wedding anniversary. It feels like so much longer, but that is a good thing.

Our life is so full, I almost feel guilty at times. We live a crazy life, it isn't always easy, but it is always worth it.

This man is amazing, and I love him more than I can ever express in a blog!
Happy Anniversary Baby!

Baseball Fever

We are definitely a baseball family, but this year we have been slackers. We have only been to 1 Express game and no Astro games. But, we still follow them and root for them even with the tough start they have had.

We went to the game last night in Round Rock for $1 dog night. Hot dogs and drinks for $1 each. Four of us ate for $11. Tickets were free AND Trevor was thrown a ball by the opposing team. The weather was nice too. It was cloudy and there was a breeze.

To top it off, the Express won!!!

No actual pictures of baseball, but these are from the park!

Playing on the slide. On the bouncy thing.

Admiring his ticket. He LOVES the games!

Very sad boy to leave the game.

FREE MONEY!!!

I just got $20 FREE from TARGET!!!!

FREE!!!! FREE!!!! FREE!!!!

Did you hear me? FREE!!!!

How you ask? By using my computer!!! Yes, just by using my computer I earned free money from Target.

How? By swaggin', that's how. Why are you not using swagbucks yet? You are already using your computer, so why not?

Search & Win

What is swagbucks? It's a search engine, powered by Goggle that gives you "swagbucks" just for using them and then rewards you by allowing you to "buy" from their store. I just snagged a $20 gift card from Target.

What I do: I have a swagbucks toolbar downloaded so all I have to do is type in something I am searching, like, FACEBOOK and it takes me to that site. I do this several times a day and periodically I earn a "swagbuck". It is totally cool. I have just been accumulating them and today I had enough earned to get a Target gift card which will definitely come in handy. I have my eye on a few things there for the baby.

I search everything this way, baby stuff, school stuff, news, celebrities, sports, etc... I even search for "Google" on Swagbucks when I check my gmail because I can earn stuff. It's GREAT!

It is totally legit. I have done mine mostly on my own, but get your friends to help you and you can earn faster. You sign up, get your friends to sign up (like I am asking you) and you earn when they earn. That way you can shop more often at the store.

Search & Win

Look, its FREE and you are already on your computer so how easy is that?

But trust me, download the FREE and SAFE, toolbar, its way easier to use and you remember to use it, even for sites you visit regularly, like FACEBOOK!!!

Click below and join, its fast and FREE. You WILL NOT receive junk e-mail from them either. It is totally legit. I know several people who use this and have "bought" way more than what I got today.

Search & Win

Join today. Help me out. Then, get your friends to join and they will help YOU out!

Hello???? FREE stuff for using the computer, how cool is that?

San Francisco Trip

We survived our vacation. It was awesome. The weather was amazing. It was between the 50's and 70's all week. There were times we were really cold and times we just soaked in the sun. It was very windy too. The double decker bus across the Golden Gate Bridge was miserable. It was like being in a crazy cold wind storm. Thank goodness it only lasted a few minutes.

We walked a lot, but took advantage of the many modes of transportation available in SF. We flew in a plane, rode a street car, train, trolley, bus and van all in a few days time.

We ate and ate and ate. We saw so many interesting people and things and appreciated our simple living here in Elgin.

Each day we set out and each day we went back to the room for a nap, then off again. Trevor and I were always the first to fall asleep. The older boys even got a swim in, the pool was heated.

The week was wonderful and Trevor's first vacation to NOT field phone calls. The only down side was me having my phone stolen the first day. Trevor's hates my purse and swears I dropped it, but I am sticking to the stolen part. It was minor though. I didn't need to call anyone. I didn't facebook or e-mail. It was truly a vacation.

It didn't go by too fast or too slow. I also feel rested because there's no rushing back to work this next week. I also made a point to leave the house clean BEFORE we left so coming home was awesome!

It was a great trip and I am thankful we were able to share this with our kiddos.

So many photos, so of course a slide show is the best way to view them. I took less pictures this time because Trevor took his camera and was a photo journalist I think. Those have to be developed the old fashioned way though. So, in a few weeks after we develop his NINE, yes NINE rolls of film, I'll do another post!

ENJOY!

Pool Fun!

Today we met our friends at an INDOOR pool... that is how to beat the heat!

Hollister jumping and splashing into the water. He kept saying, "Oh, my knees!" But that didn't stop him from jumping over and over and over....
