Part 2 Spring Break

Last week was so full, getting back to work has been so full, time seems to be be flying by.

Thursday Hollister and I went back to the Inflatable World. He found a slide and spent most of his time there. He is such a dare devil!

Friday we headed to Dallas. When we got to the hotel Hollister was very confused about us having a "room". He kept saying "No, this not your room" I asked him where our room was and he said, "At our house". He also didn't understand leaving our suitcase in the room when we left. He thought we had to take it with us. He was so cute.

We had dinner with family and swam in the pool at the hotel. In the pictures you will see Peyton and Toni. They are Grandmother and granddaughter to each other and 2nd and 4th cousins to Trevor. (I think) They are related somehow....

Saturday we took Kendrick to the airport and headed back to the pool for another swim. Then we headed to the outlet mall in Grapevine. We rode the carousel and "window shopped". The highlight of that was dinner at The Rain Forest Cafe. Hollister loves the animals. He was a little afraid at first this time, but then he figured out they couldn't get him. He made sure the alligator at the front knew who was boss. Boss being Hollister, NOT the alligator.

Carousel fun with Mom and Dad.

You won't get me!

Hollister and the Rain Forest Cafe Frog. See the resemblance?

Sunday we came home via a visit to Grandma and Grandpas. Traffic was a mess and I hope its a long time until we have to drive on I35 again.

Side note: CJ had an orthodontist appt and didn't make this trip with us. We didn't leave him out of the pictures intentionally! LOL

Spring Break Part 1

We've stayed fairly busy so far this week. We have slept in, ate well, napped, played, A LOT, and Mommy even got back to running.

Day 1: Dr.'s appt for ear check up. The bad news: Hollister's right ear still doesn't look "right". The good news: They are not treating it. They are giving it a month to do whatever it is an ear is supposed to do, and then he will have a hearing test to make sure he is actually hearing out of that ear. I am relieved that there were no shots involved.

Later that night we enjoyed some outside time with football playing and 4 wheel riding. Thank goodness for some nice weather this week.

Day 2: We spent the day at Inflatable World in the mall. We met our friends Ally and Chance. We had loads of fun. CJ was disappointed at first because the cut off age is 10. I didn't realize that. After lunch though, the owners let him "jump" because we were honest about his age at the beginning and apparently there were some parents there that weren't so honest about their kids' ages. He enjoyed it, but those two 3 year olds wore him out.

Day 3: We enjoyed lunch at the park here in Elgin. There was a fun play scape and swings. They have a nice pond with duck and turtles. It is surrounded by a walking trail and wide open spaces.

We also made a quick trip to the library. Hollister loved "reading" while laying on the big bear.

So far the week has really been fun. We aren't done yet of course. We plan to milk as much fun out of this week as possible!

Green Eggs and ....

hey, Where's the Ham?

I made green eggs, nope no ham though, for the boys today for breakfast. They were a little freaked out at first. Hollister immediately pushed his away and said, "I not like that." CJ ate his because of course they tasted the same.

Kendrick likes his eggs sunny side up which was harder to make "green". He was a good sport though and ate them.

Hollister did end up trying and eating most of eggs. He was more excited about his red strawberry jam toast though.

For dessert tonight we all went to Dairy Queen. They were over the green themed breakfast by then though....

Bowling with the Boys

Today we gave the boys a choice, a movie or bowling. They choose bowling. We drove into town, HA! I love writing that, and ate at Steak and Shake.. a family favorite. Well, they changed the menu up and not that it wasn't still yummy, it just wasn't well, the same.

Then we headed to the bowling alley pretty close by. It was jammed packed. We walked in hopeful and found ourselves crashing a Girl Scout celebration. Apparently they had rented the whole place out. Well, since we obviously aren't girl scouts, we left. Hollister was VERY upset. He didn't quite understand what was happening and he also thought it had to do with Chuck E Cheese (I dunno why) and cried until we arrived at the next bowling alley. This was also full, but not of just girl scouts and they had a lane for us. We haven't bowled in quite some time and the very cool thing is, you can add bumpers for anyone on their turn and then they disappear for the next person. Man, whoever thought of that was a genius I tell ya!

We only gave bumpers to Hollister, but honestly, I needed them more than anyone. I was actually beat by a 3 year old. We all pretty much stunk, but it was good family fun. In our "family deal" we got tokens for the game room. That just killed time and upset Hollister when it was time to leave. Maybe we'll rethink that "deal" next time.

Here's some photos of the boys and their bowling. Yes, obviously I was there as the photographer only. I really need my hubby to step up and take a photo of me.

Hollister was very protective of his ball. He kept it with him at all times. Except while drinking his Shirley Temple.

If you look closely you can see the "guards".

Good form. Not so good form.

I think Kendrick likes doing stuff like this with us, because he knows he can beat me and come in 2nd.

For whatever reason, Hollister thought his shoes needed some air.
They were so stinking cute on his feet!

I wanted to make a video of Hollister bowling. Its a little hard to see him because a parent HAD to go up there with him so sorry he is blocked by his Dad while actually bowling. But you will get the point!

Did you notice how excited he was when his ball came back up? He was so thrilled by that.
Oh, and I was trying to video the score, but it didn't quite work, sorry...

Hopefully I'll have lots of posts this week with it being Spring Break and hopefully get some good photos of all 3 boys. Plus I plan to sleep a lot, read and relax! I actually got 9, yes NINE hours of sleep last night and it was awesome!!!! Oh, and it was light when I woke up, now that was really cool!

Can you say tummy ache?

First an ear infection update:
Hollister had a dr. appt today to recheck his infected ear. Well, he STILL has an ear infection. UGH!
So, they prescribed another round of antibiotics. He goes back in 10 days, and if he still has one, he will start a round of shots? WHAT?! I have never heard of that. I didn't go to this appt, Trevor did. I WILL do the next one though and get to the bottom of this "shot" thing. What ever happened to going to an ENT and the option of tubes?
Obviously this story is to be continued....

Now to the tummy ache story....
Well, after his appt, I met he and Trevor at Sams Club. The following pictures can tell the story better than me.
Chips
Pizza
Hodges Rule: You can't go to Sams without eating pizza. and no, mommy and daddy didn't get pizza this trip, we are rebels!
Cookie
The bakery gives out cookies to the kids. He never forgets this. Well tonight, they were out. So instead his Daddy bought him his own box!
Ice Cream
This is actually Mommy's, but guess who ate most of it? Daddy had a 3 berry sundae and yes, he got some of that too.

This is his left over fries from Cheddars.
Yes, he actually ate AFTER all that stuff at Sams.
oh... the purse? For some odd reason, Hollister decided tonight he needed to hold my purse. His Dad was beside himself. Just another reason Mommy needs a girl! LOL

So far he hasn't gotten a tummy ache, but if he doesn't have a hollow leg, I am expecting it anytime now!

March has come in a like a LION!

This week has been tough!

On Sunday my engine light came on in my car. UGH! On Monday I took it in for an oil change. I also noticed my state inspection was expired by MONTHS!!! It said, 12-8!!!! get this... I have actually been stopped by a cop in the past month, got a warning... but he never mentioned my sticker!

Well, the guys at Kwik Car told me I can't pass inspection because my tires are bald! UGH! They reset someting and made the engine light turn off. Apparently that was just a fuse. (thank heaven!)

So Monday night we had 4 brand new tires put on. My husband was not happy to write that check, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

The difference is amazing. I drive a lot of miles a day and I can really feel the difference new tires make. Not to mention the fact that I am safer!

So, on Tuesday, I went back to get my inspection.

Tires good- check

no engine light on- check

windshield wipers- NO CHECK!!! UGH!!!

At first I thought I would have to come back a third time. But they sell wipers there so I said, YES YES YES replace them!

The car is inspected, new tires and on top of this the car registration was due at the end of Feb. That was easy to get and we were prepared for that!

Tuesday at work was the TAKS testing. It was an awful boring day.

Then Wednesday we started getting sick! UGH!!! Not the flu though... for me its sneezing and blah. I know my husband gave this to me. He is denying it, but trust me, I know!!!

I am a sneezing fool and everytime I sneeze, I have to be careful not to pee myself! The after effects of 2 kids! UGH UGH!

Its Thursday and my head is throbbing but I am sticking it out at work and glad that tomorrow is Friday.

So, did anything good happen this week?

yes, so glad you asked.

Have you heard of swag? No? well, let me introduce it to you. Swag is a search engine like Google. It is actually part of google.

Search & Win

This is different because they reward you for using their search engine. YES IT IS FREE!! This is not a scam. You need to search for something? Instead of googling it, you swag it and they pay you with a swag buck. You collect them and you can get prizes like gifts cards to the Gap, money off airline tickets, etc..

This is not a scam. I know people that have gotten this stuff. Just for doing what we do everyday, SEARCHING THE INTERNET!!!

Search & Win

You will have to register, but trust me, its free and its not a scam. I am not getting crazy e-mails from them, nothing.

I just go to the site, search "how to stop peeing my pants when I sneeze" and it searches that topic.

Occcasionly I will win a swag buck and it pops up and says, "You won a swag buck". It makes me happy and I clap! Trust me, you won't be able not to, you'll be excited.

theres all kinds of ways to earn swag bucks and the site is pretty self explanatory. It even has a facebook application! Oh yes, its everywhere!

So come on, just do it, it'll be fun. Earn some free stuff with me, just have fun!

Search & Win

and if you find a good solution to my peeing problem, let me know!
