What's been going on?

Well, it's almost the middle of April, what have we been up to?

On Saturdays, we have baseball and soccer. Last week, we won our baseball game AND our soccer game.

Our HEB also had a Grand Reopening after spending the past few months remodeling and expanding. It is so fun to shop at! Hamilton noticed these guys, but once he got close, he wasn't as excited. I think a few high fives was pain staking for him.

Later that night, we celebrated CJ's 16th birthday! Yes, 16!!!! He turned 16 on Wednesday. He loves The Cheesecake Factory, so we headed out and indulged!

He may be 16, but he is still goofy!

Strawberries and cream for this one.

 This was Hollister's choice.
See that eye? We have come to expect bumps and bruises on Hamilton. It is the norm. He got this one at baseball practice while standing and turning. Seriously people, after jumping up and down off the bleachers, he falls just standing around!

Then again, this weekend we had baseball and soccer again. My little sports maniac had a great day. He got an in the park  home run!!!! He just kept running, but didn't realize it was a home run. It was so cute.

I made Hollister take this picture after his game. Needless to say I was into my child's home run and not taking pictures.
Afterward, we had soccer. Hollister got his first goal of the season!

Again, no picture, I was rooting my boy on!

This was also the weekend of cakes at our house. Trevor made two. One for Hollister's buddy, Jack and one for a friends' nieces first birthday. Both were really perfectly done. He is as talented as ever!

At the bowling party there was an artist. He drew these pictures. Can you believe how spot on he got our boys? This man was so talented.

So, that's what's going on in our little part of the world. How 'bout you?

March Wrap Up Part 2

Hamilton had an Easter Egg hunt at day care March 28th and luckily Hollister got to help him out. It was fun. Note that this Mother of the Year didn't send her child an Easter bucket so he used a plastic bag. Ends up, he got more eggs that way. (I really should read my emails more thoroughly. At least, I sent eggs!)

They worked really well as a team!
He had to check out the candy in each egg before getting another one.
Funny thing is, all the kids were that way.

He is trying to show off his goodies. They were so silly by this point.

We ended March with a night time run in Austin. It was called the Electric Run. Trevor and I ran it with a friend of ours. The race raised money for Leukemia. Our friend Marty is currently in remission from Leukemia. It was fun. It was not for serious runners, which is good, since we are not. The course was not very safe and at some points it was very dark. But, the event was well organized and I think we would definitely do it again.

This was us with Marty (middle). We also knew Melissa (far left) She ran with some other friends though.

Near dark.

At dark!

10,000 people all in glow in the dark stuff!

Throughout the course, tons of great sites to see. That's Trevor!

My turn!

This is what we ran through for the finish.
The atmosphere was really great and fun!

The after party! It was pretty wild!
That same day, we attended a birthday party for one of our baseball players. We left Hollister with some friends when we had to leave for the run. Hollister wanted his face painted. We were fine with it and left him some money to do so. This is what he got!

We were pretty shocked. He doesn't normally do face painting. But, apparently he is fine with this. He looks pretty scary doesn't he?

(Of course, I am not caught up, but at least now I can post about April in April.)

March Catch Up- Part 1

First, we had a really relaxing Spring Break.

We got some new tires for my car, an oil change, even got a new driver's license. Very productive!

and of course, we had some fun!

Spent one day at Chuck E. Cheese in Killeen with my sister and her family.

getting ready for the roller coaster
TOO LOUD!

They spent quite a few quarters on this game.

It was Max's birthday the following Saturday, so we had Pizza and cupcakes in his honor!
Then he got to get into the ticket blaster!

And that funny brother in law of mine and sister thought it would be a good idea for me to do the same, since my birthday was the next week. Ironically hers was first, but she didn't get in.
It was harder than one would think, but fun!

Used what resources I had to get those tickets!

Actually Uncle Jeff bought all the kids tickets, so everyone had some fun. Hollister enjoyed it!

Hamilton was very weary. Hollister was able to go in with him. Hamilton didn't quite get the concept. he kept swatting the tickets away from him.

He did like the teeth and the blow up sword he got with his tickets.

Another proud owner of a blow up sword.

All the boys! the sun right in their eyes!

It was a really fun time and worth a quick trip!

We also started baseball! Hollister is in coach pitch again. This year we are the Mets!

I am sure there will be posts about baseball in the near future.
