What Saturdays are all about!

Early morning soccer.... Good sportsmanship....

HOGEYE FESTIVAL!!!!

It's Elgin's annual Hogeye Festival and man, do we love it. It's a small festival and carnival down town and its all about the pig!

A highlight of the day, riding the school bus shuttle!

The boys with our neighbor Jack.

Mom's favorite highlight, the biggest pig in Texas!!!!
We have never ventured to the carnival portion, but today Hollister was allowed to ride one ride with his buddy Jack.

You probably know Elgin is the sausage capital of Texas, but it's also the largest maker of bricks. We have 3 brick making companies in town. So it makes sense to have a brick throwing game at Hogeye!

A pig toss, of course....
Bull riding....
A bounce house...
Playing on a fire truck...A cake walk. No, he didn't win, but he liked it.
Hamilton won a toy as well.

Sno cones!

Live music and even dancers if you look closely.
My boys loved it and were dancing fools themselves.
Okay, so its not all about the pig, we allow bats as well....

And FRIED foods... and yes, Hamilton is napping behind them. Hogeye is exhausting!
And the shuttle ride back to our car, still happy! I think it was a fun day for them all.

Later that night, it was date night, double date night actually. We went with another couple to a Haunted House. Scary, really scary, but very fun! This was the entrance to the second haunted house. yes, 2!!!! These are the kinds of characters that were in the parking lot messing with us before entering.
Kind of nice to have some adult time! Even if it involves stuff like this.
