Sports Update

This post was started on October 11th when we had a rainy weekend. I was supposed to get caught up that weekend. It obviously didn't happen. But here it is anyway.

Our two boys are both playing soccer and baseball. We stay very busy.

Hollister actually plays on two baseball teams.

We have a practice or a game every day of the week.

Many days we have overlapping practices. Trevor and I split with the boys a lot.

It's our life.

Days like today, rainy days, have helped. On these days, I can get laundry done at one time instead of a load here and there. I can clean (or at least think about cleaning). We can relax, play, sleep, whatever we want. We miss playing the games, but it is nice to relax.

So, today, I am taking advantage and trying to share some pictures I have taken,

Soon, I hope to get some GREAT pictures to share. Trevor recently got a new camera and it takes amazing pictures. For today though, it will be my phone pictures.

Hamilton loves playing baseball. He is only old enough for tball. He is very good at it and he knows it. He is still scared of the ball so catching it, is tough. But, he loves hitting and he can whack the heck out of it. He is a fast runner, so he almost always gets on base. And, he is really good at sliding. He will slide every chance he gets and even when there is no need for it.

He still enjoys playing catcher. He doesn't play it as much now though because he is needed to play the infield.

He really loves playing pitcher. In tball, the umpire tells the pitcher, "Pitcher pitch", then turns to the batter and says, "Batter bat". It all happens fairly quickly. Not when Hamilton is pitching though. He has been attending quite a few kid pitch games and he watches those pitchers. He is the only tballer I know that has a wind up.

Hollister has been enjoying kid pitch too. It has been tougher that coach pitch, but throughout the season he has improved so much. He is a smart baseball player and when he uses his head, he is unstoppable.

A few weeks into the season we had this banner donated for our team. It is amazing.
We hang it at every game and it just says "We are here and we came to play!"

How awesome is this picture of our boy?
That's a real baseball player there!!!

Stay tuned, there will be more!
