The 4th of July

We had a BBQ at our house on Monday. My pictures stink and I just didn't remember at the right moments to take photos, but I do have a few. Trevor smoked a big brisket, we had food out the wazoo as always. This year though, due to the Texas drought, there were no fireworks. Didn't really seem like the 4th of July, but the food and fellowship with our friends was fantastic as always.

Kids playing in the backyard. No, that is not Hamilton in a dress. We have some new neighbors and they have an 18 month old little girl, Lily. They had so much fun playing with this 'shade". Trevor and Kristy

Our new neighbors, Becca and Dustin... Jack is actually blowing bubbles and Hamilton is intently watching him. Basketball fun. The guys play trick shot Horse and its just hysterical. The kids run around and we all play, "watch for cars". Sometimes living on the corner has its disadvantages.
Dustin brought some strawberries out for the kids to eat, YUM!
Becca brought sidewalk chalk out, much to Hollister's delight! I wish you could see up close how truly dirty this kid is!
Trevor's attempt at a trick shot. Of course, dessert was high on the list. Trevor made these cute cupcakes. The hot dogs and hamburgers are mini vanilla wafers and icing. Some red velvet with cream cheese frosting as well. And yes, the star is edible too.

YUMMY! I was also able to make a wood project using some scraps that Trevor had. I of course needed his help and it does pay to have a handy husband! The finished product!

Happy 4th of July!
