Cutest Boy on the Block

I could write a blog for each of my children... but today, I chose our youngest. Hamilton is 20 months old now and the most precious child on the planet. He makes us laugh to watch him, he makes us worry because he's such a brut, we smile when he mimics everything his brother does, and he keeps us on our toes, especially Trevor. If his Daddy is around be assured that Hamilton will be right next to him, literally.

Recently he has started saying every word imaginable. I had started writing the words down at 18months because I knew he was considered behind in his talking by the Dr. We were fine with it because we know, (based on our others) that once they do start talking, they never stop! We are in no hurry. But, about 3 weeks ago, he just started saying all these new words.

His name fits him so well. He is such a 'ham". Seriously people, he works it. He is our social one. He waves at everyone when we are at a store like HEB or Wal-Mart. He will give anyone a high five, just stick your hand out. I get out the camera and nine times out of ten, he is cheesing it up!

He also has a temper... He loves the word no and when he says it, it is quick and decisive. He is not messing around. He's a climber and loves to think he is big and bad and go up and down the stairs by himself, very scary here in our house. I am telling you, you have to watch him ALL the time!

He put this mask on from Hollister's Halloween costume and played outside for a LONG time with it on. It was hot, but he didn't budge. He loves being outside and the heat doesn't bother him at all.

Climbing at Grandma and Grandpa's house
Giving Grandpa the sweetest hug goodbye. This is probably my favorite picture so far this summer. This was his snack while we played bingo recently. He's big for good reason! He's serious about work too. When Daddy is outside, he's right there with him. This is him building while Daddy works on a backyard project.
He LOVES music and will dance anytime he hears it, even a ring tone from a phone.

Here is in following his Daddy while mowing the grass. I have more pics of this, but that deserves its very own post. Watching him follow his Daddy is the cutest thing ever!

Pure cheese! He knows how to melt my heart!
Silly!
He absolutely adores this boy. They are typical brothers. They love each other one minute, and the next fight like cats and dogs!He also is obsessed with shoes. Be warned that if you come to our house and take your shoes off, he WILL put them on. He's also super smart and will bring you your shoes when its time to go anywhere. He knows whose is whose! Finally, he got his haircut. He sat on my lap and wasn't too thrilled with the whole thing. Once he got a sucker though, he could have cared less what she was doing to him. We prolonged it as long as we could.... we now have a "big boy".

Before AfterBefore in the back.... this was where he really need it cut... After

Trevor and I know how truly blessed we are with each of our kiddos, we really do. And we have been known just to sit and make eye contact when Hamilton is doing something funny, or sweet, or silly and we just soak it in and know its super special.
